APCLC 2024 will be held 25-27 October at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Shanghai, China. The main theme for the conference is "New Data, New Theories".

Call for Papers

Submissions for papers, posters and workshops can be made through the conference submission system (details later) by March, 31st, 2024. Submissions must be original and should not have been published previously or be under consideration for publication while being evaluated for this conference.

Venue

Takamatsu city is in Kagawa Prefecture, located in the Shikoku Island, Japan. Takamatsu City is accessible via an 80-minute flight from Tokyo or a 105-minute train ride from Osaka.

The conference will be held in the conference centre, Sunport Takamatsu, which is conveniently located next to JR Takamatsu station (a 3 minute walk) and the JR Hotel Clement Takamatsu is a one-minute walk from the station.

APCLC 2016: Beijing

Program

APCLC 2016 is the third of the Asia Pacific Corpus Linguistics Conference series under the auspices of Asia Pacific Corpus Linguistics Association. It was held at Beihang University, Beijing, China from Friday 21 October 2016 to Sunday 23 October 2016. (Conference website.) The conference successfully brought together corpus researchers from around the Asia-Pacific region and other parts of the globe for a reunion, to discuss issues of interest and to exchange ideas and methods for research in this fast changing discipline. The whole event consisted of a preconference workshop and the main conference which comprises special symposiums and concurrent sessions

Preconference workshop. The main conference was preceded by a workshop day on Friday 21 October 2016, run by Tony McEnery and Michael Barlow and colleagues.

Conference themes. The central theme was Corpus research moving forward and beyond, with the following subthemes

New technologies and methods in Corpus research
Cross-fertilizations in corpus research
Corpora and cross-linguistic and -cultural studies
Corpora and discourse studies
Corpora and language acquisition and learning

Second Asia Pacific Corpus Linguistics Conference (APCLC 2014)

Professor Winnie Cheng hosted a very successful conference at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Hong Kong, in March 2014. Around 200 participants gathered from the Asia Pacific region as well as Europe and the Americas.
