<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:12.0pt">A belated update regarding a new collaboration (in terms of mutual support and sharing of information/resources) between the Sydney Corpus Lab and the University of Western Australia’s
<a href="https://protect-au.mimecast.com/s/7GbXCGv0oyCJNo0jOIK_0UU?domain=aus01.safelinks.protection.outlook.com" target="_blank">
Language Lab</a> (a hub for the study of human language and its connection to history, community, and culture). This new collaboration aligns well with the lab’s interest in combining corpus linguistics with sociolinguistics as well as discourse analysis and
other linguistic methods.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:12.0pt">Raphael Lo Schiavo-Rega recently wrote a
<a href="https://protect-au.mimecast.com/s/_r0gCJyBrGf8WP10ACGnC_U?domain=sydneycorpuslab.com/">
blog post</a> about his Masters research on the reporting of the 2021 United States Capitol attack in
<i>The Australian</i> and <i>The Sydney Morning Herald</i>. <span style="color:black">
